What managed monitoring covers

Protect & Monitor combines the initial standard-domain setup with ongoing review of available DMARC aggregate reports and public authentication settings. The purpose is to spot changes worth investigating and keep your authorised sending inventory up to date.

How findings are handled

An unfamiliar sending IP is a finding to investigate, not proof of an attack. We compare the evidence with your approved services, describe the concern and agree any configuration changes. Some issues require action by your email provider or existing IT support.

The review frequency, contact route and response expectations are confirmed when scope is agreed. This offer is not a 24/7 security operations centre or an emergency incident-response service.

What reporting can and cannot show

Aggregate reports describe authentication observations from participating receivers. Coverage and timing vary; reports are not a complete, real-time log of every email. An absence of reported failures is not proof that no abuse occurred.

Aggregate reports generally contain domains, source IP addresses and authentication counts rather than message bodies. They can still reveal business sending information, so access and the reporting destination must be agreed. Failure/forensic reports are not enabled by default.

One-off versus ongoing

SenderShield Secure is £99 for a standard one-off setup and completion report. Protect & Monitor is £49 setup plus £29.99 per domain per month, including a monthly report. Additional remediation outside the agreed standard scope is quoted before work begins.
